Hurricane Milton will hit Florida tonight. Florida’s entire west coast has a storm surge warning, including parts of its east coast. It’s forecasted to drop up to 18 inches of rain and that’s in addition to the 15 foot storm surge. It’s already spawning tornadoes, with at least 10 tornadoes being spotted across south central Florida. According to Gas Buddy, 23% of gas stations in Florida are out of fuel, and in Tampa over 59% of them are out. 5.9 million have been given mandatory evacuation orders. Officials warned that anyone staying behind must fend for themselves, with first responders not expected to risk their lives attempting rescues at the height of the storm.
