Disc brake rotors will become discolored, brake pads can become chalky from the excessive heat and the wheel can also be affected. • A leading cause of disc brake caliper failure is the rubber brake hoses that supply the calipers with brake fluid. They do become clogged and can affect the performance of the calipers. • After a certain age, all calipers and hoses will need to be replaced to give you proper braking performance.
