Large raised paver patio time lapse. This particular patio was approximate 1400sf. It has 48 of grade changes from end to end. It was constructed using Allan Block Classic retaining wall blocks and back filled with 60 tons of class 6 road base. Features include 4 levels, 220,000 btu gas fire pit, built in seating wall, free standing pillars, 18' of 2 level bar with built in Lion gas grille, 12 Kholer LED under cap lights and 1400sf of Basalite brand, Italian Renaissance pavers using the random II pattern and a 60/40 blend of colors. Pavers were filled with Polymeric sand. Construction time was about 408 man hours. Base design was based off of 8 large circles layed on top of each other. All design work complete using Autocad 2007. Sorry we lost one of our cameras during the build so there is about a week of missing footage. • Stats for patio nerds... 263 retaining wall blocks, 450 courtyard blocks, 1200 Rustic blocks, 220 wall caps, 4900 pavers, 60 tons road base, 8 tons of sand, 22 bags of polymeric sand,. The circle design caused many trips to the saw, about 2700. Here is the break down...350 feet of edge for the pavers, about 700 cuts, the seating wall had 400 blocks and each had to be cut twice 800, the caps on the seating wall bench 200, the back rest caps 150, the retaining wall caps 162, each cut 5 times 813 cuts and probably another 100 for the bar. 2 complete 14 diamond blades consumed. • Music Credit: Turbo Tornado by Admiral Bob (c) copyright 2016 Licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (3.0) license. http://dig.ccmixter.org/files/admiral...
