Warning: Keep fingers clear of blade if using a rattle gun • The locking nut is an M8, 1.25 pitch, REVERSE Thread pattern • Clockwise to UNDO • Anti-Clockwise to TIGHTEN • If this video was useful perhaps you can support my channel: https://buymeacoffee.com/unfastened • It is good practice to replace the nut when changing the blade. This is because quite often people mistake the nut for a regular thread pattern, and try to undo the nut using anticlockwise force with the rattle gun which strips the thread off the inside of the nut. The LAST thing you need, is the edger blade to come off, at full tilt! • If you have the correct tool to lock the blade, please use it. I demonstrated using a screw driver because 90% of people do not have the correct tool and this is a suitable replacement, if done correctly.
