Hyundai launched its first Pickup truck, but the Santa Cruz will not be its workhorse, after the delay in its execution due to the pandemic, the rumors of the Hyundai Tarlac are reborn. • However, every automaker involved in the pickup segment knows that the action is on full-size and midsize body-on-frame pickup trucks. Hyundai is working on a second ladder-frame pickup, though very little is known about it at this point. • This type of work truck is in demand not only in North America, but also in Southeast Asia, Australia, South Africa and other markets. Independent designer Enoch Gabriel Gonzales explores a Hyundai midsize pickup truck he named Tarlac, after a region of his native Philippines. • The Hyundai Tarlac would face Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi L200 Triton, among others. It adopts Hyundai's latest design philosophy, borrowing elements from SUB such as the Santa Fe and Palisade. • The “waterfall” grille is reminiscent of those models, as are the split headlights that are joined by Z-shaped Led DRLs. The sides feature wide, muscular fenders, highlighted by a pair of jagged body lines. The rear is fairly basic and features vertical Led taillights and a slit in the tailgate. • Enoch hasn't rendered the interior, though we can envision a dash with an emphasis on functionality and durability rather than luxury. This Pickup could see the light definitively in 2023 or 2024.
