This video demonstrates the Knitted Cast On. I recommend this CO as a first CO method because the movement so closely resembles the knit stitch. It allows a new knitter to get the hang of making knit stitches. Just don't forget the little twist as you place the loop back on the needle! • In this video I used Lion Brand Thick and Quick Wool Ease Yarn in the Grey Marble colorway with size 15US wooden needles. I recommend this yarn with wooden needles for a first project for any new knitter. It's easy to see the stitches and they won't fall off the needles. • As a side note, I used shorter dpn style needles in the video, because the longer straight needles I would normally use for this didn't work for the video.
