Arelie Garcia DISAPPEARS No Footage of Recognizable Car

Arelie Garcia gets up as usual to head to her job at a Salinas, California Chevy dealership. Garcia is seen on surveillance footage leaving the apartment she shares with her mom, getting into her car, and driving off. Garcia also texts her two older sisters that she’s heading to work and will see them when she gets off that evening. A few minutes after her shift was scheduled to start, Garcia’s manager calls her sister, telling her Garcia hasn’t come in. Garcia’s family immediately reports her missing, and Garcia’s sisters track her phone, finding the location last updated in Big Sur, an hour away. Salinas Police find Garcia’s red Honda Accord abandoned on the side of Highway 1 just past the Bixby Bridge. The keys were left in the ignition and her cell phone and wallet were also discovered inside. According to Salinas PD, the only known footage of Garcia’s car between her apartment and where the car was found came from a gas station on Highway 1, 10 miles north of the Bixby Bridge. It’s not clear if Garcia was behind the wheel. Working with the Monterey County Sherrif’s Office, Salinas PD conducted a 2-day drone and foot search, but found no trace of Garcia. They also interviewed 62 people, turning up no further leads. 25-year-old Garcia now missing over a year. There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to Garcia’s discovery.
