Jajamen is a cold noodle dish of ground meat simmered in a black bean sauce. It may have it's origin in Chinese cuisine (Zhajianmian), but it's popular as a Korean dish (Jajangmyeon) and now in Japanese cuisine too! It's really easy to put together and a great dish for a summer lunch. • Check out how to use doubanjiang and tenmenjiang in Mapo Tofu: • • Easy Mapo Tofu Recipe Japanese Style • Ingredients for 3-4 servings: • 200g/8 oz of ground Meat • 1 seedless/English cucumber • 3-4 shiitake mushrooms diced • 1 long green onion or chopped scallions • 3-4 garlic cloves diced • 1 knob of garlic diced • 4 tbsp of tenmenjiang • 1 tbsp of doubanjiang • 1 tbsp of sake • 2 tsp of soy sauce • 2 tsp of sugar • 150 ml of water + 1 tsp of chicken gara soup • 1 pack of fresh (or dried) ramen noodles • Follow me on Instagram: / homecookedabroad • Full recipes on Facebook: / homecookedabroad • 0:00 Intro • 0:29 The Vegetables • 1:42 The Seasoning • 1:52 Let’s Cook • 3:10 The Noodles • 3:42 Thickening the Sauce • 4:04 Plating • Please subscribe for more Japanese home cooking recipes! • Thanks for watching!
