Frozen snow cover. • No gear, no passenger seat. • Sled gross: 800-850 pounds • Riding our back lawn and farmer's field across road (written permission). • The temperature was about 12 degrees out. The snow is ice with frozen snow cover on top which makes for positive hook-up of track and ski carbides resulting in exceptional acceleration, stopping turning. This means fast riding (on any hard surface compared to powdery snow), topping out about 60 MPH at maximum RPM's of 8,000 with the lower gearset. • When typically riding two people with cargo on steep mountain trails, the lower gear ratio gives perfect power performance starting up steep inclines and also so much engine braking on the steep twisty-downgrades that I hardly ever need to brake to a stop. • In this video, on the fields, when I keep looking right and left, it is to be certain there are no other sleds or persons on a VAST trail that crosses the field -- even though not legally open for eight more days depending on depth of snow. • Sled grossed about 850 pounds today without all the cargo and without the passenger seat. It's a big sled to be throwing myself around on in all the twisties and contours of, say, my back yard. • With Cargo and Passenger, it grosses about 1,100 pounds. • I never ride this aggressively when I have a passenger nor do I ride like this on the VAST trails or in the woods. • Thank you for watching! • If you like my videos, please Thumbs-Up! • Also, consider subscribing to my channel!
