No one believes my partner is a narcissist. Have you felt that way before about your own abusive relationship, or toxic relationship with the narcissist? Why cant they understand how he treats me. Maybe you have had those thoughts about a friend. My friend is in an abusive relationship but I don’t know if I believe them, or what to do. Is her boyfriend really abusive? If not, why would someone make up their partner is abusive? Do people lie about having an abusive partner? These are all valid questions someone who is in an abusive relationship might ask, or things which would be asked by a friend who someone who claims to be in an abusive relationship. Narcissist abuse isn’t always easy to spot. The narcissist is manipulative and using their narcissist control techniques to control their partner, as well as those around them. To the outside, the narcissist may appear loving and caring, but behind closed doors you don’t really know how they are with someone else. If no one believes me my partner is a narcissist, it might be less about them believing you and more about them not knowing what to do with the mixed information they have. They may see their friend and hear then when they discuss the toxic relationship of the narcissist, but then the narcissist is so nice to them when others are around.
