http://www.sunsafaris.com/safari/bots... This incredible sighting took place in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. This is a male giraffe of about 15 years of age. It is clear that the giraffe has a very crooked neck although it is not broken. Normally male giraffes have no tufts of hair on their horns (only females do) - this is because the males use their horns for fighting. This male giraffe has therefore clearly avoided fighting as it has a large amount of hair on its horns, which leads us to believe that this could be a birth defect, or alternatively he hurt is neck in a fight and has not fought since? What do you think?
