Damage isn't a great target in Pathfinder 2e, but it still has its place. Frequently characters do enough damage without needing to purely focus on it and utility options are required in order to win tough boss fights. I suggest that newer players stop trying to focus on what the highest damage options are and look at what utility they can grab alongside their damage!
