NXLED Ceiling Light installation

I replace an old CFL ceiling light with a modern LED based ceiling light from NXLED. • The previous tenant or perhaps the owner had lost the cover for the original light, so it looked pretty ugly. It would sometimes require switching off and on a few times before it finally lit up and then took awhile to warm up to full brightness. It also caused flicker on my video recordings. • I had considered replacing the ceiling light with a regular bulb holder and using modern CFL or LED bulbs but liked the look of the NXLED ceiling lamp and figured it's a more like-for-like replacement for the one it's replacing. • I looked at some other brands of ceiling lights that use LED strips which are easy to replace. But I figured it's more likely that the driver would break before the LEDs ever did. • The NXLED uses 36 SMD LEDs on a professional PCB that uses the metal case as a heat sink, I figured that should ensure the unit lasts for a long time. Plus NXLED offer a 5 year warranty. • The beam angle is 120 degrees and the LEDs produce up to 1620 lumens. The color temperature of the LEDs is 6200-6700K (daylight). • I measured the power consumption on a watt meter and it read 17.6 watts, pretty close to the rated 18 watts. Installation is extremely simple, turn off your breaker, remove the old light and then connect the live and neutral wires to the new light fixture. If I had a ground wire, I'd have connected it to the metal frame of the light. • The light should be installed by a professional electrician due to the risk of electrocution or fire if done incorrectly. • NXLED is the sister company of Akari. Both are Philippine companies although their products are made in China. I bought it from HandyMan, a common chain of hardware stores in Metro Manila. • SUPPORT ME: If you enjoyed this video, please remember to give a LIKE and click here to subscribe to my channel - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c...
