Chinese Cumin Lamb Skewers Chinese Style Barbecued Recipe

Chinese Cumin Lamb Skewers (Chinese Style Barbecued Recipe) • Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes. • There are 3 ways of cooking this dish – BBQ, deep fried and grilled. • Ingredients: • 500g Lamb • 1 Tbsp Ground Ginger • 1 Tbsp Ground Garlic • 2 Tbsp Chilli Powder (optional) • 3 Tbsp Ground Cumin • 20 Wooden or Metal Skewers • Salt to Taste • Method: • 1. Slice the lamb about ½cm thick. • 2. Place in a mixing bowl, add the ground ginger, garlic and 2 Tbsp of oil. • 3. Mix all ingredients together, then cover and leave in the fridge for 3 – 4 hours. • 4. In a bowl add the salt, chilli, cumin powder and mix. • 5. Thread the lamb slices onto the skewers one piece at the time. • 6. Place the skewers on the barbecue and cook for 2 - 3 minutes each side. • 7. Sprinkle the powder mixture evenly on both side during cooking. • 8.
