The Vertical Flight Society (VFS) recorded videos of 44 different helicopters in action at Heli-Expo 2022. The Helicopter Association International (HAI) held HAI Heli-Expo 2022 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, March 8-10, 2022. A showcase of the commercial helicopter industry, there were 48 complete helicopters on display and seven conducting flight demonstrations from the Dallas CBD Vertiport (JDB) and Dallas Executive Airport (RBD). • Once the convention ended, the VFS video team recorded most of the display helicopters flying away from the convention center from a temporary heliport (TX55) on the southeast side of the exhibit hall. This was a unique opportunity to see some of the world's most popular civilian helicopter models in flight over a short period. • Dallas CBD Vertiport (JDB) – March 9, 2022 • 01:08 – N407AZ, Bell 407GXi, Bell • 01:25 – N591AC, Airbus EC225 LP, Air Center Helicopters • 02:26 – N125SC, Airbus AS 350B2, StandardAero Stablelight • Dallas Executive Airport (RBD) – March 9, 2022 • 03:30 – N296R, Bell 505, Bell • 04:12 – N412EX, Subaru Bell 412EPX, Bell • 05:02 – N429AR, Bell 429, Bell • 05:37 – N407AZ, Bell 407GXi, Bell • Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Fly-Out (TX55) – March 10, 2022 • 6:00 – N244WD, Robinson R44 II, Robinson • 6:31 – N505FW, Bell 505, City of Fort Worth Police • 7:33 – N612LR, Guimbal Cabri G2 • 08:13 – N696EE, Robinson R66, Robinson • 08:49 – N896J, Robinson R44 Cadet, University of North Dakota • 09:20 – N337HG, Bell 505 • 10:07 – N611TV, Robinson R66, News6HD • 11:10 – N130, Airbus EC130T2, York Galland @iflyhel • 12:19 – N424WC, MD 530F • 12:53 – N874BB, Bell 505 • 13:23 – N15NS, Airbus AS350BB, Panterra Heli Support/East West Helicopter • 13:44 – N40125, MD 500E, MD Slimline • 14:40 – N811WB, Bell 505, Colorado Heli-Ops • 16:03 – N12001, Kaman K-1200 K-Max, Mountain Blade Runner • 18:06 – N743AM, Bell 407GXi, Air Methods • Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Fly-Out (TX55) – March 11, 2022 • 19:12 – N844TX, Airbus 350B3e, Texas Department of Public Safety • 19:48 – N407HF, Bell 407GXi, Halo-Flight Inc., Corpus Christi, Texas • 20:15 – N122AH, Airbus EC145e, Flight for Life, Wisconsin • 20:44 – N407ES, Bell 407GXi • 21:14 – N3251R, Bell 429, Teledyne FLIR • 21:44 – N160TH, MBB Bo 105S, Chuck Aaron Academy at Southern Utah University • 22:54 – N29MJ, Bell 429, Two Bear Air Rescue Foundation • 23:39 – N372AA, Sikorsky, EH-60A, HeliQwest • 24:06 – N60FW, Sikorsky UH-60A, Ace Aeronautics • 25:26 – N910MT, Airbus EC135P3, Covenant Children’s Hospital, Lubbock, Texas • 25:54 – N60ZX, Airbus EC135T1, AS 355 LLC. • 26:32 – N710FK, Airbus AS 350B3e, Florida Keys Mosquito Control District • 26:51 – C-GHFP, Bell 429, Bell • 27:34 – N492BG, Sikorsky S-92A, Milestone Aviation • 29:02 – N74379, Robinson R22, Helicopter Institute • 29:22 – N561AC, Airbus EC 225 LP, Air Center Helicopters • 33:37 – N6FL, Airbus H145/BK117D-2 • 34:06 – C-GNCA, Leonardo AW139, AIC Global Holdings Inc., Canada • 34:34 – XA-EZM, Airbus H175, Transportes Aereos Pegaso, Mexico • 35:16 – N240SH, Airbus EC130T2, Air Methods • 35:39 – N814SC, Robinson R44 II, Helicopter Institute • 36:03 – N652LA, Leonardo AW169, LCI • 38:01 – N301CJ, Sikorsky S-92A, Milestone Aviation • VFS was founded as the American Helicopter Society in 1943 by the pioneers of the helicopter industry, who believed that technological cooperation and collaboration was essential to advance vertical flight. VFS is the global non-profit society for engineers, scientists and others working on vertical flight technology. For more than 75 years, the Society has led technology, safety, advocacy, and other important initiatives, and has been the primary forum for interchange of information on vertical flight technology. • Today, history is repeating itself with VFS playing a similar role helping to advance today’s revolutionary electric VTOL aircraft.
