Sossusvlei Namibia

I was incredibly excited to get to knock number 1 off my bucket list on Days 218 to 220 by visiting Sossusvlei, Namibia. My trip to the famous sand dunes of Namibia started in Swakopmund by joining a tour group with Chameleon Safaris. We took the long drive out to the national park driving through some incredible landscapes as we did. After a night at the amazing Sossusvlei Lodge, we cruised out into the red dunes and I have to say that this was easily one of the most amazing days in travel I've ever had personally. It really was spectacular. Both Sossusvlei, and an area known as Deadvlei, are not only highlights of Namibia, but perhaps the #1 natural landscape in all of Africa. • After visiting Sossusvlei, we made out way into the Sessriem Canyon which is just inside the national park. • On the final day of the tour, we headed to a Cheetah Sanctuary just outside of the town of Solitaire where we got up close to some of these amazing animals.
