I built a simple jet engine out of a small junk turbo. It worked pretty good until I melted the turbine wheel.... • The combustion chamber turned out pretty good but it was never going to work that great. The turbo was the type with an exhaust bypass so it was really inefficient and could only really be used if I hooked up a turboshaft output. • These are a common project online and everybody does it a bit different, I wanted mine to be sorta compact and streamlined. • Either way it was fun to build and went together super quick • It could get dangerous dealing with tons of fuel and crazy high rpm fan blades.
