Keyboard: IBM Model M Terminal (1392595) • Switches: IBM Buckling Spring (Model M variant) • The springs and keycaps have been greased with Tribosys 3203, and the controller has been swapped to support USB natively. The alphanumeric cluster keycaps have also been replaced with wheelwriter keycaps. • See my other Model M video for a review on stock performance: • IBM Model M 1392595 - IBM M Buckling ... • Greasing the buckling springs of the Model M dampens the metallic ping and spring crunch, resulting in a much cleaner and quieter typing experience. It also makes the keyboard itself much quieter, about the same noise level as unsilenced topre. The click is slightly softer, but it is not mushy at all.
