Best Android Launchers 2019

We review our favourite Android launchers that you can download for free from the Google Play Store in 2019. Some of these launchers do carry a 'premium' or 'pro' version which can be unlocked for a one-off charge, but don't worry - we'll point these out. • Some of the best Android overlays have been around for years now, including the excellent Nova Prime - while others are fresh and new. • Our full list of the greatest launchers for 2019 includes: • ADW Launcher 2 - choose from one of the default styles, including some historical Android efforts, and then fully personalise every aspect of your desktop configuration. The gesture control and widget functionality are definite highlights, as is the theme sharing. Premium version costs £3.59. • Nova and Nova Prime - one of my long-term favourite Android launchers. Impressive customisation and unique features, including setting up shortcuts to open up specific features when you swipe across an app icon. Check out my Nova launcher tips and tricks guide. • Evie - like Nova, Evie has been knocking around for years but is still one of the best thanks to its simple, fast design, news support and search engine customisation. Completely free to download and use. • Action Launcher - if you love the standard Pixel UI but you’d prefer more control, plus smart personalisation to match your wallpaper, then this is one of the best. Costs £4.50 for the full 'Plus' version. • AIO Launcher - A unique UI which dumps all of your necessary info on one page, with impressive customisation once again on offer. • Lawnchair Launcher - these days, only a handful of smartphones outside of Google’s pricey Pixels offer a proper virgin Android experience. Of course, you can always download the Pixel launcher for that experience, but this is another fast and free option. • Microsoft Launcher - sign in with your Microsoft account and you can sync things up between your phone and your Windows laptop. The Glance widget serves up full Cortana support as well as fast access to your tasks, apps and other essential info and the daily-changing Bing wallpapers are a nice touch. • What are your own preferred Android launchers in 2019?
