We can divide with partial quotients and addition. We can use the strategy solve a simpler problem to help us solve a division problem. We can break apart a large dividend into two or more smaller dividends. This will create smaller, maybe easier, division problems. This method works well with mental math. We divide each of the smaller dividends by the given divisor, then just add the partial quotients.
