We review our family trip to Newstead Abbey Nottingham, and talk about whether it’s worth the trip for you. Newstead Abbey is located 30mins north of Nottingham and is a location steeped in history as well as culture. The grounds are beautiful and its a perfect place to visit if the weather is right with a historic house which used to be the home of the famous poet Lord Byron. • Although the location is called Newstead Abbey, only a small part of the Abbey remains with a singular wall façade in place attached to the house.
