Fishing On Our Own At Reculver Where Are The Fish 4k

We should be well underway with the Smooth Hound Fishing by now in Kent but they still haven't shown up in numbers and the later into May it gets the more difficult the fishing becomes because of the weed. The high tide was a little earlier than ideal but I managed to finish work a little bit quicker and get onto the beach at Reculver so that my baits were in the water before high. I was joined by Mark as we tried to get either a Smoothy or a Ray but the fishing proved to be very very difficult. Weed was showing and a strong current made holding bottom difficult and the crabs were getting to the baits within minutes.
