Volkswagen is expanding its range with more electric cars. The manufacturer's larger electric crossover is the ID 4 model, which offers slightly more than 4.5 meters of space. Is it worth your interest when looking for a car of this type? This question is answered by my video test of the Volkswagen ID 4 2023, which I prepared after spending a week with a copy in the basic Pro Performance version. This means an electric system, which consists of a motor that has 204 hp and drives the rear axle. Here we also have 77 kWh batteries and DC charging via a CCS connector with up to 135 kW of power. In the video I show how such energy filling looks like and what kind of range the Volkswagen ID 4 can achieve. In this connection I also discuss energy consumption in the city and on the road, as well as how the 204 horsepower copes with this body - what are the overall impressions of driving this car. I also evaluate the practicality of the Volkswagen ID 4 - what kind of trunk capacity it offers, the spaciousness of the rear bench seat or the handling. The test unit was also equipped with LED Matrix headlights, and in the video I show how they shine and how their adaptive features perform.
