WIndows 10 taskbar not working some things to try

Problem started after moving AppData\\Local folder from OS SSD to HDD. Buggered about with Powershell which did nothing permanent and probably broke things even more, so i reinstalled Windows to get the same problem. • The problem is related to the TileDataLayer folder in AppData\\Local . • Came across this very obscure tool from Microsoft to fix the taskbar: • http://download.microsoft.com/downloa... • Taskbar now fixed and AppData\\Local on HDD like it should be. Just restarted and seems good, fingers crossed. Hope this helps as it has been a nightmare for me these last 2 days. • EDIT: problem still occurs after restart. I get error message when running the tool: Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost and Microsoft.Windows.Cortana applications need to be installed correctly - still searching for a permanent fix. • EDIT2: Resorted to reinstalling Windows - this time not attempting to move the AppData\\Local folder, just my docs and Temp directory moved to HDD, all is good now. Just annoying I could move AppData\\Local without issue first time round. Hopefully it doesn't get too big.
