I needed hand saw storage. I also needed a saw bench. So here I build a simple bench based on one that I saw at a maritime museum. I made this bench into my saw till. • I have plenty of power tools but since I moved to New Zealand most of my power tools are in storage 9000 miles away. I brought my hand tools over though so I could work along the lines of the 'old' masters. Basically, I want to prove my Roy Underhill-ness and Peter Follansbee-ness. • There are lots of angles on this one but simple joinery keeps it a quick build. I used only hand tools with the exception of cheating on the pilot holes with a drill. • I'll be trying to release videos often so don't miss anything and Subscribe, Comment and Like. • • These are links to some of the tools I use in this video. • My Workbench's Plans are in this book - http://amzn.to/2H0u9t4 • My Large Rip Saw - http://amzn.to/2oM9MIl • My Chisel Set - http://amzn.to/2FPFkWb • Brass Back Saw - http://amzn.to/2oEOo8N • My Combination Square - http://amzn.to/2H1mtqa • *In the desire to be transparent, these are affiliate links, so it helps me out a tiny bit when you go over to Amazon from clicking on them for whatever you need!
