It's more stripped down, slowed down -- and it made us realize how much we miss Avril Lavigne's music. • Take a listen: • (CLIP) • The 27-year-old put her own spin on the Nickelnback song for the soundtrack of an upcoming Japanese animated film called One Piece Film: Z . • Now, Avril's ex-husband, Deryck Whibly also covered the song a few years back. We highly doubt he would have predicted his former flame would have married the guy who wrote the song. • Take a listen to Sum 41's punk-rock version of the song: • (CLIP) • I have to ask... are we having fun yet? • In all seriousness though, if you'll remember, Avril announced her engagement to Chad Kroeger back in August. And, the Nickelback frontman did well -- he proposed with a 14-carat diamond engagement ring. • Lucky for us, we won't have to wait long for a new Avril album. Her next release is expected in 2013, with Epic Records chairman and X-Factor judge L.A.
