Being a culture vulture is easy in Aarhus. • • Today’s vlog is all about activities that you can do with groups in Aarhus and what an incredible start and treat to be able to sit in and listen to the Aarhus Symfoniorkester as they rehearsed for their performance that evening. One of the workshops they can organize on leadership is learning the art of being a conductor and that was super interesting! We visited the Musikhuset Aarhus and Concert Hall, both fantastic flexible spaces where the teams really work with you to create great events. • • Then we got to visit the famous ARoS Museum which houses Denmark’s largest art collection after Copenhagen. It was really an impressive venue with a variety of spaces that you could use from their iconic rainbow walk to their rooftop terrace with views over and around Aarhus. And soon to be complete, a new exciting space called The Dome, a Skyspace that you will be able to use for events in 2025 from artist, James Turell. Next stop, we got to see Denmark through the years at Den Gamle By and we had the treat to be shown around by one of the carpenters. Definitely a super unique location with some really different spaces you can use for events where the attendees can feel like they have gone back in time. A personal highlight was seeing a Blockbuster Video store from the 90s! • • Last but not least, we visited KØN - Gender Museum Denmark housed in the former City Hall. It was my first visit to a gender museum and it was brilliant to see all the different spaces and exhibits on display as well as learn about the cultural history of gender and sexuality in Denmark – I definitely recommend a visit when you are in Aarhus! These are just a few of the many venues you can use for events in the city that incorporate different facets of the city’s culture, history and offering.
