Hey everyone, it's Danny de Hek, also known as The Crypto Ponzi Scheme Avenger, back with another video! My channel focuses on exposing Ponzi schemes and scams, helping to protect mum and dad investors from losing their hard-earned money to these financial predators. Today, I'm taking a brief detour from our usual content to share an important story about a frustrating issue I encountered with OpenAI's ChatGPT and how I finally found a solution. • TIME STAMPS • Introduction 00:00 • DISABLE Experimental QUIC Protocol 00:49 • Open AI Support 01:33 • LINK chrome://flags 05:55 • Summary 06:50 • The Problem: • Recently, I faced a login issue with OpenAI's ChatGPT. I couldn't access my account, and it was incredibly frustrating. • “ChatGPT Login Loop”, “Endless Spinning Circle”, “Chatgpt does not load when I am logged in”, “Chat GPT forever loading page” • I tried everything: refreshing my cache and cookies, using different browsers and devices, and even switching networks. Despite all these efforts, nothing seemed to work. • Seeking Help: • Determined to get this fixed, I reached out to OpenAI's support team. Here's a summary of my correspondence and the steps I had to go through to get to the bottom of this issue: • 1. Initial Troubleshooting: • Clear cache and cookies. • Try different browsers and devices. • Use an incognito window. • Refresh the browser multiple times. • Attempt to log in from various networks (wired, WiFi, cellular). • 2. Advanced Steps: • Ensure correct authentication method (Google, Microsoft, etc.). • Check for email verification. • Attempt a password reset. • Disable any VPN or proxy services. • 3. Support Ticket Submission: • Provided detailed information about the issue. • Described the exact error messages received. • Explained the login methods attempted and any previous successful logins. • The Fix: • After numerous attempts and detailed back-and-forth with the support team, I finally received a crucial piece of advice that resolved my issue. Here's what OpenAI support suggested: • Thank you for reporting this. It's a bug we're aware of and that we're working to fix. In the meantime, if you're using ChatGPT in Google Chrome, there is a workaround. • Disable QUIC in Google Chrome: • 1. In the Chrome address bar, type: chrome://flags (chrome://flags/#enable-quic) • 2. Scroll down until you see Experimental QUIC protocol. • 3. Choose 'Disabled'. • Alternative Solution: • They also suggested an alternative: If you're using a Mac, you can switch to our MacOS app. You can download it here: https://openai.com/chatgpt/download/. (Please note this does not work on Intel Mac’s) • Fix for a few different browsers • Google Chrome • In the browser address bar, type chrome://flags. Disable the Experimental QUIC protocol option. • Microsoft Edge • In the browser address bar, type edge://flags/. Disable the Experimental QUIC protocol option. • Mozilla Firefox • In the browser address bar, type about:config. Disable the network.http.http3.enable option. • Opera • In the browser address bar, type opera://flags/#enable-quic. From the Experimental QUIC protocol drop-down list, select Disabled. • What does Experimental QUIC protocol do? • The QUIC (Quick UDP Internet Connections) protocol, developed by Google, enhances web application performance by reducing latency through fast connection setup and data transmission. It integrates multiplexed connections, built-in security via TLS, and advanced congestion control, ensuring efficient, secure, and reliable data transfer. QUIC supports both reliable and real-time data, allows seamless connection migration between networks, and includes error correction mechanisms. These features collectively improve the speed, stability, and security of internet connections, forming the foundation for HTTP/3, the latest version of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol. • Conclusion: • After disabling the QUIC protocol in Chrome, I was finally able to log in and use ChatGPT without any issues. This simple workaround saved me from a lot of frustration, and I wanted to share this with all of you in case you face a similar problem. • I hope this story helps anyone else facing similar login issues with OpenAI's ChatGPT. Remember, even when things seem complicated, sometimes the solution is simpler than you think.
