Your hip abductors are the muscles on your outer thigh and hips. They help with balance, leg rotation, stabilising the pelvis, and movements like walking. • Using the seated hip abductor machine helps to strengthen these muscles. Watch our PT and Gym Manager Tom demonstrate how to do use the seated hip abductor. • 1. Sit with your back against the back pad, knees against the knee support, and feet on the foot rests. Select the weight. • 2. Adjust the machine so that your legs are together, then grip the handles at the side of the machine for support. • 3. Use your hip abductors to push your knees out as far as you can comfortably go, making sure your upper body stays still. • 4. Hold at the top of the movement before slowly returning back to the start. • Get more exercise demonstrations and advice here 👉🏻 https://www.puregym.com/exercises/
