This famous piece of music is the all too short middle section of Jupiter, bringer of jollity one of the seven pieces from Gustav Holst's iconic cycle The Planets . The tune is called Thaxted after the north Essex town where Holst lived, and perhaps better know as the hymn I Vow to Thee, My Country . The version I play here is the Primo part of the composer's own two-piano version of The Planets (the Secondo part being nearly identical but in places an octave lower). • It is difficult on a piano to capture the marvelous sonority of the original orchestral version, but I hope I didn't do too badly. • Chris Breemer, piano • https://buymeacoffee.com/cbreemer
