LOUDER VERSION HERE: • DIY Basement Wine Cellar - LOUDER • I built this custom wine cellar in my basement. The cellar has fir and birch cabinetry and wine racks on 2 walls. It holds approximately 400 bottles in the racks. I built them myself in my woodshop but frankly none of it was difficult. I spent about $600 total. A ton of insulation keeps it at 62 degrees F in summer and winter. Door $100, insulation $120, drywall $80, lumber $150, lighting $120, etc. After this video was published I added in an old wine barrel to serve as a table. When I built it I had the intention of adding a chiller but found that the constant temperature was reasonable and I decided to just leave it. • Forgive the poor audio! It was my first video and it's really rough!!!!! Here's a link to a louder and better version: • DIY Basement Wine Cellar - LOUDER • Link to the video showing the wine rack construction: • DIY Wine Racking • Not a woodworker? You can buy premade racks and make your own cellar: • https://amzn.to/37SSnmU This is a small base unit. • https://amzn.to/3b2gRMt This is a large wall unit. • I strongly encourage you to build your own though. • This is the wine chiller I designed the space for: • https://amzn.to/2ShJ7Sr
