Hello, traders! Buckle up because today promises to be a rollercoaster of volatility. We’ve got major economic events lined up, so let's dive right in. • What’s Happening Today? • In the London session, we’ll see the German GDP release at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Eurozone GDP release at 7:00 p.m. Later, at 10:00 p.m., the German CPI figures will be out. If you’re trading pairs like EUR/USD, EUR/JPY, EUR/GBP, EUR/AUD, or EUR/CHF, be prepared for some serious market movements. • Expect Volatility • Key economic data releases and central bank policies are the two main reasons for the anticipated market volatility. The German GDP, Eurozone GDP, and German CPI are crucial for gauging economic health and market sentiment. Moreover, the ECB has hinted they need more data to decide on future rate cuts or holds. This week, we also have the Fed, Bank of England, and Bank of Japan making headlines. • My Predictions • For the German GDP and CPI, and the Eurozone GDP, here's what I’m expecting: The market is predicting a downward move for the German GDP. However, given recent data from France showing upward revisions, we might see better-than-expected numbers. The Eurozone GDP year-over-year figures are expected to be slightly better, but quarter-over-quarter might dip a bit. As for the German CPI, we’re looking at a slight increase to 0.3% month-over-month, with no changes year-over-year. • What This Means for EUR/USD • We’re currently trading around 1.0820. I anticipate a retrace but I still believe in a longer-term downward trend, this pullback could offer some short-term opportunities. • Stay sharp and use good risk management this week.
