A Chef Gets Knocked Out

This video I created as a marketing campaign concept for Lifeware Tek, specifically the MenuMax product. The idea was to create a shocking incident, make it look like it was captured on a security camera, and help it go viral. Once the video went viral, another video would be sent out to authenticate the first video (employee captures incident on her cell phone camera). After a couple of weeks another video would be sent out with the same man punching someone else out. The question is asked of who this man is and why is he punching people out. Well what is happening is that he is not just punching out random people, he is correcting the wrong action that a person is doing. In the case of the first video the chef goes off on his co workers. Once enough buzz had been generated about who this man could be, another video would come out. This time it would be an actual commercial. The commercial would start out normal making the viewer think that they were watching a regular commercial, then all of a sudden the man (max) comes out and BANG! Knocks out the person in the commercial doing something wrong or making a bad decision, stands over the body and says the slogan and looks at the camera with a cheesy smirk. Then tells the viewer not to make a bad decision and talks a little about MenuMax. What would have made these commercials stand out is the shocking scenerios. Max would punch out a boy, a grandmother, a wife, someone in a wheelchair, etc. • How did it work out? Well the first part of the plan worked incredibly well. This video went viral in just 1 week. So much so that TruTv paid me for viewing rights and aired it on their Most Shocking Videos show earlier this year. Two Japanese companies also paid for rights and was contacted by Kyle Lautenbach with Inside Edition. Long story short, plan was not allowed to mature past the first phase. I still believe it would have been very successful. It was originally uploaded at the whoisthisguy3 account and received over a hundred thoudand views and the one that followed received almost half a million views. Not including the views from all the ones that stole
