Two American crows (Corvus brachyrhynchos) hanging out in Prince Albert National Park. This activity of one bird preening another is called allopreening and serves the functions of effective grooming, bonding, and social communication. It often is conducted by mated pairs. Crows create strong bonds and mate for life. However, as with many birds, they are socially monogamous but genetically promiscuous and may mate with individuals other than their life partner. • Birds of Canada: • • Birds of Canada • Subscribe to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/WanderingSo... • Don't forget to click on the bell to get notifications of new videos! • FOLLOW ME • Instagram: / wanderingsoleimages • Facebook: / wanderingsoleimages
