Padang is one of Bali's most dangerous waves but is also one of the easiest lineups to get to. • A well defined channel that acts like a watery conveyor belt can shoot you out back - hair dry - in no time at all. Conversely, paddling against this current can be a losing battle if timed wrong. • A lull in wave action can reduce the flow dramatically, or hug the Northern side of the channel where there's less water movement. • This latest swell has been producing the goods for a couple of days now, and we're expecting another, slightly bigger top up tomorrow.
