🦊 In this GCSE Biology video, we discuss predator-prey relationships in stable communities, where population numbers fluctuate in cycles. Predators increase in number following an increase in prey, leading to subsequent declines in prey due to heightened predation. When prey numbers decrease, the predator population also declines due to reduced food availability. Questions might ask to analyze graphs of population dynamics, like explaining why frog populations decrease (point X) due to reduced prey (flies), influenced by biotic factors such as predation and disease within the ecosystem. • 👋 Hi, we’re Launchpad Learning.
