Fishin' on a Pier, ApologetiX. • Parody of Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. • Performed by ApologetiX. • Reproduced by permission J Jackson, ApologetiX. • http://www.apologetix.com • ApologetiX have a great mission statement - to reach the lost and teach the rest. Take a look at their web site, download some songs and send them a donation. J always replies to an email. ApologetiX can be found on Facebook. • This is video number 52. • This song is an early one from ApologetiX, reworked a few years ago in 2011. • It speaks clearly of how the band use parody to spread the Gospel message, but we too are fishers of men. • This was filmed in the green room, with a background of a local loch and the River Forth. We watched the original Bon Jovi video where the singer comes down on stage attached to a high wire, as if flying. Our puppet comes up - and on a fishing line - not down. • The man fishing was Najeeb, a friend in Haifa, Israel. He is an Arab Israeli and is pastor of Emmanuel Church there. • He is truly a fisher of men as the story below demonstrates: • We went to a cafe in Haifa. Najeeb told Ira, the waitress who came to take our order, that there was someone who was waiting for her. She went, somewhat puzzled, and returned with our drinks. Najeeb then told her that this one really loved her, had been waiting for her all her life, knew everything about her including every hair on her head and that he would tell her who it was after we finished our drinks! Ira brought out bill and Najeeb told her all about 'Yeshua' (Ira is Jewish), His saving sacrifice and gave her his card so she could phone him and maybe come to church. If it moves and breathes Najeeb shares the Good News of the Gospel of God! • You can watch the original song video here: •    • Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer   • Bible verses are from the New International Version. • ApologetiX quote the following Bible verse in connection with the song: • 1 Corinthians 7:20 • Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them. • Lyrics available to view at: • http://www.apologetix.com/music/song.... • Apps used for this one included: • Green Screen by DoInk - as it says! Made for children in Primary School, it's the best I've found. • QuickFlip - flips photos • Rotate Flip - flips video • Trim Cut - selects part of video • Superimpose - place foreground photos onto background photo • Eraser - removes background, leaving a subject only • FaceFilm - morphs one face into another • Phoetic - creates backgrounds from text, including emojis • Over - places text on photos • Captions - creates comic strips and uses speech/thought bubbles • CuteCut - video editing app - the only one I use/like • How we make our videos: • 1 all videos are made on an iphone6 • 2 it's easy, accessible, you can edit anywhere - yes, anywhere! lol • 3 learned as we went, it's not really that technical at all • 4 choose song, print lyrics, make notes of ideas - we have a photo of this • 5 watch original music video for ideas • 6 where possible, ask permission • 7 two-take policy • 8 lighting and shadows on green screen • 9 film lead puppet part • 10 google 'app for xxxxxxx' (you can find an app to do almost anything!) • 11 film video/take photos of puppets in order of song • 12 google for images and or select ones taken when out and about • 13 put it together! • 14 save on iPhone • 15 upload to YouTube • 16 write description for YouTube
