One person is dead in east Charlotte. • • Detectives with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's homicide unit are conducting a homicide investigation near the 3600 block of North Sharon Amity Road, which is located near the intersection with Central Avenue and Albemarle Road. • • Officers first responded to a welfare call around 7 a.m. Monday, according to CMPD.
