White Throated Bee-eater a beautiful bird, at The National Aviary, Pittsburgh. It was playing and flying at grasslands. We were wandering there, I was just finding out the name of the bird. The bird came with the caterpillar in its beak. In few seconds it swallowed it. I just couldn't believe on my eyes that I saw first time how a bird swallows it's prey in detail. Look at bird's actions, how it behaves. These birds are characterised by richly plumage, slender bodies, and usually elongated central tail feathers. All have long down-turned bills and medium to long wings, which may be pointed or round. Male and female plumages are usually similar. The bold white throat and eyebrow distinguish this species from all other bee-eaters. The only bee-eater with distinctive courtship flight, alternately gliding with wings high and flapping, with loud calling. The difficulties of migration and avoiding predators along the way affect every bird. Bee-eaters today also find it harder to find food, as there are fewer insects around aa a result of pesticides. Breeding sites are also disappearing, as rivers are turned into concrete-walled canals. • This video is a must-watch for bird lovers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates the wonder of the natural world.
