POST-TRAUMATIC FUNK SYNDROME • CLASSIC ROCK HORN BAND MUSIC • • Bridging the gulf between classic rock n roll and classical music, The Post-Traumatic Funk Syndrome presents: • • Classic Rock meets the Symphony , • • a program scored to extend the listening experience of the great soul, R-n-B, Horn band artists of the 60s, 70s and beyond. Scored for full symphony orchestra by Russell Peterson, and amplified with a full 12 piece rock band (Male and Female vocalist, keyboard, drums, bass, guitar, 2 trumpets, trombone, bari, alto and tenor sax) • • The concept for the show is simple, play the greatest rock/funk music of all time with symphony orchestra, the WAY IT WAS MEANT to be played! Almost all of the great pieces in this show were originally recorded with orchestra. People can hear almost exact transcriptions of these classics: • • • Vehicle (Ides of March), • • I feel good (James Brown), • • September (Earth, Wind and Fire), • • Lucretia McEvil (Blood, Sweat and Tears), • • Georgia on My Mind (Hoagy Carmichael/Ray Charles), • • Rachmaninov Sym#3/Eric Carmen- Never gonna fall in love again, • • Stariway to Heaven (Led Zepplin), • • So Very Hard to Go (Tower of Power), • • Proud Mary(Tina Turner), • • Respect (Aretha Franklin), • • Disco Medley (Last Dance, Funky Town, Shaft, I Will Survive), • • 25 or 6 to 4 (Chicago) • • See more about PTFS at: • • http://www.fargofunk.com
