This cd player has a transparent cover in the front, so you can see the cd spinning inside. The sound quality is ok, not very bass-y, but that is what you get with the small speakers. You can plug it to any big speakers using the 3.5mm jack, so that it could give you a better sound. Overall, really happy with this player!
