Accelerate to wide open throttle (WOT). • 2. Release throttle when fuel cut-off occurs. • 3. Engine should not accelerate beyond calibrated RPM value. • 4. Release throttle immediately if value is exceeded. • 5. Block drive wheels. • 6. Set parking brake. • 7. DO NOT apply brake pedal. • 8. Cycle ignition from OFF to ON. • 9. Apply and hold brake pedal. • 10. Start and idle engine. • 11. Turn A/C OFF. • 12. Vehicle must remain in Park or Neutral. • 13. The scan tool monitors the following components: • Crankshaft position (CKP) sensors activity—If there is a CKP sensor condition, refer to the applicable DTC that set. • Camshaft position (CMP) sensor activity—If there is a CMP sensor condition, refer to the applicable DTC that set. • Engine coolant temperature (ECT)—If the engine coolant temperature is not warm enough, idle the engine until the engine coolant temperature reaches the correct temperature. • Enable the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure with the scan tool. • This repair was done on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base 4.3L Extended Cab Pickup 4-Door RWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles: • 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 • Tools you will need: • • 8mm Socket http://1aau.to/obMW/1AXAA00017 • • Ratchet http://1aau.to/ocfA/1AXAA00016 • • Gloves http://1aau.to/obhV/1AXSS00048 • • Safety Glasses • • Scan Tool • Subscribe:    / @trq   • ⚠ DISCLAIMER: • While TRQ strives to make the information provided in this video as accurate as possible, it makes no claims, promises, or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness or applicability of the content.
