Claire Benedict was born and raised in Ada, Michigan and attended Hope College, where she obtained degrees in Chemistry and Spanish. She enjoys traveling to new places, playing piano, and backpacking. Claire will spend a year on a Fulbright grant in Switzerland and then will pursue a PHD in chemistry at the University of Chicago This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
