This sonatina by the Danish composer Friedrich Kuhlau (1786-1832) is the second in a series of six - of progressive difficulty - and not at all easy to play absolutely evenly on a modern piano. It is certainly a lot harder than the more popular first piece in the set. Like the rest, it is stylistically and technically very similar to the Clementi sonatinas.
