Armadillo are carriers of leprosy. Known as Hanson‘s disease, the armadillo originally came in contact with this deadly and tragic disease in the 15th century when visited by Spanish explorers. The armadillo may not be to blame, but they certainly are a big risk of transmitting this sad disease, but don’t worry folks as long as you stop smelling their poop and eating undercooked armadillo.
