Horacio Chango Spasiuk, of Ukrainian descent, was born in 1968 in the province of Misiones, Argentina. He made a name for himself around the globe for his explicitly virtuoso accordion play of the local Chamame. It can be very fast and agile or quite melancholic and gentle... as in his beautiful instrumental version of 'Gloomy Sunday' (Triste Domingo) • Gloomy Sunday, written in 1932 by the Hungarian pianist and composer Rezso Seress, was nicknamed the Hungarian Suicide Song, which is known for being connected to more suicides than any other song in history. • Read the interesting story here... • http://www.historicmysteries.com/gloo... • http://jvxiii.blogspot.com/2012/07/th... • GLOOMY SUNDAY (lyrics by Rezso Seress) • It is autumn and the leaves are falling • All love has died on earth • The wind is weeping with sorrowful tears • My heart will never hope for a new spring again • My tears and my sorrows are all in vain • People are heartless, greedy and wicked... • Love has died! • The world has come to its end, hope has ceased to have a meaning • Cities are being wiped out, shrapnel is making music • Meadows are colored red with human blood • There are dead people on the streets everywhere • I will say another quiet prayer: • People are sinners, Lord, they make mistakes... • The world has ended!
