From Caroline Power • / carolinepowerphotography • Ocean trash is a problem facing every coast, sea, and ocean. There is no one country at fault. We are all to blame. This particular plastic was filmed off the coast of Honduras. Guatemala and Honduras have very poor waste management in many areas. This results in mass amounts of plastic ending up in rivers and streams. When we have heavy rains, it washes into the ocean.
