The way it is described is not the Tao itself. It is an imprecise description of it. In order to really understand and come to know the Tao, we need to experience it for ourselves. We can do this by learning to set aside our desires, as well as our preconceived notions of what the Tao is like, so that we can see it for what it really and truly is.
