It is Kayak Camping time! Austin Wallis of Sidetrail Adventures, Kevin Champ of Wondering Electrician, Dirt Dobber, RKB and I jumped into the truck and trekked to The Missouri Ozarks to join The AVA Journeys crew - Brian, and Brenda Dillard, John and Ashley for a trip down the Current River. We Started at Cedar Grove with a take out at Van Buren, MO. Join us for a 5 day float down the emerald green water of the Current River. We explore the rocky bluffs, the gravel bars, the caves, the many springs and more. We had encounters with bears, wild horses, minks, eagles, spiders, bats, and the legendary MOMO! We also got an unexpected surprise from Mother Nature! The Ozark National Scenic Riverways are an amazing treasure. It is no surprise this is such a cherished kayak camping destination.
