What Rides Are CLOSED At Disneyland September 2024

Here is a list of all the current Disneyland and Disney California Adventure ride and attraction closures for the month of September, 2024. Please note, Disney often changes the dates of these closures, whether to move the reopening up, delay opening, or cancel a project entirely. Always check with the Disneyland website for the most up-to-date information. • Space Mountain closed on August 5th, 2024, and is expected to reopen on September 6th. We anticipate that Disneyland will be refurbishing lighting elements throughout the attraction, including the coaster tunnels. It’s worth noting, the Space Mountain restrooms, sitting area, and snack bar are also closed. • The Disneyland Railroad closed on August 5th, 2024, and Disneyland currently does not offer an anticipated opening date. We have been told to expect a three-month closure as crews not only replace track but also refurbish the Tomorrowland, New Orleans Square, and ToonTown stations. • The entirety of Critter Country remains closed as Splash Mountain, which closed on May 31st, 2023, undergoes transformation to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Closed due to construction are the Davey Crockett Explorer Canoes, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, and the Hungry Bear Restaurant. No opening date has been announced. • Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln closed with little fanfare on April 16th, 2024. Construction permits filed with the city of Anaheim indicate this may be a long and involved refurbishment. No opening date has been announced. • The Disneyland Monorail is set to close on August 12th, 2024, in part to accommodate construction near the track in Downtown Disney. No opening date has been announced. • At Disney California Adventure all attractions in the Animation building, including Turtle Talk With Crush, Animation Academy, and Anna Elsa’s Royal Welcome closed on August 5th, 2024. This closure is to transform the building into the Oogie Boogie meet and greet for Oogie Boogie Bash.
